This coronavirus thing is not a big deal,” was me a few weeks ago! Well, you can make good decisions based on fear and the possibility of what might happen, lead me to write this blog today. Let us try being honest for one moment and take a wide look at how our lives changed in a glimpse! Despite it being necessary, being stuck at home sucks! You can’t meet up with your friends, go to college or go to the gym or do all the other fun things you usually do outside. However, life doesn’t have to be all miserable and gloomy due to this.

The Coronavirus outbreak affected my life as well as others around and I am trying every possible way to overcome the unexpected demands my life is putting up in these days of isolation...Some of you might just be looking for the same. I hope this reaches out to them!🙂

Are we really sure what the future holds?

As the novel coronavirus (a.k.a. Covid-19) spreads, plenty of exploitative scheming and misinformation has proliferated online —Experts say “There will be no future!”, “Do we have to believe in this?”, “Is there a drug that can raise global hope?”, “Can we buy ourselves a little more time?” Well, These questions might as well eat you up before the actual thing does, and the only primary tool that answers these questions to everybody with a cell phone is the internet that has also become a crucial tool for sharing important, legitimate facts about the outbreak, including scientific info, travel updates, and news on the death toll and spread. Social Distancing has become way too important to everyone. Yet, Reckless people out there take this to the extreme! Let’s start with a global outspread bit by bit.

What is the current situation?

Globally, the number of cases has exploded in dozens of countries. Let’s zoom in a little:-

  • Spain, Germany, France, and the US all have more cases than Italy when it ordered the lockdown.
  • Other 16 countries have more cases today than Hubei when it went under lockdown: Japan, Malaysia, Canada, Portugal, Australia, Czechia, Brazil, and Qatar have more than Hubei but below 1,000 cases. Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, and Denmark all have above 1,000 cases!

Can you take a look and observe what's wrong with the above places? Outside of China and Iran, which have suffered massive, undeniable outbreaks, and Brazil and Malaysia, every single country in this list are among the wealthiest in the world(America sure is having a stroke of bad luck!!). Then come questions like “Do you think this virus likes rich countries?” ,“ Or why isn't it that these rich countries might be better at identifying the virus?”,It’s unlikely that poorer countries aren’t touched. Warm and humid weather probably helps but doesn’t prevent an outbreak by itself. The most likely studies are that the coronavirus either took longer to reach these countries because they’re less connected, or it’s already there but these countries haven’t been able to invest enough on testing to know.

Symptoms and Measures?

People may be sick with the virus for 1 to 14 days before developing symptoms. The most common symptoms of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) are fever, tiredness, and dry cough. Most people (about 80%) recover from the disease without needing special treatment.

More rarely, the disease can be serious and even fatal. Older people, and people with other medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease, or lung diseases), maybe more vulnerable to becoming severely ill.

People may experience:

  • cough, mild fever, tiredness, diarrhea(benign cases)
  • difficulty breathing, hands turn blue, chest aches and fever with chills(severe cases)

Just shut up and go make some little changes to your life to reduce the risk of infection like :

  • Avoid large events and mass gatherings. (You wanna go to parties? Firstly, you should be alive to attend one!)
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with your elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth if your hands aren’t clean.
  • Avoid sharing dishes, glasses, bedding and other household items if you’re sick.
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces you often touch on a daily basis.

Setting up a routine might help?

Oh, Yes!! To make life in government-mandated isolation a lot easier it is helpful to keep up a consistent routine so that you don’t end up being stuck to your couch or in bed the whole day. Setting up a routine can be challenging at first, especially if you don’t know where to start..

Is there any chance?

Until now there is no news of a cure for this. To all the politicians, community leaders, and business leaders, you have the power and the resources to prevent this and show true responsibility, but all this happens only if they do think about this the way we do. (You are quarantined in your million-dollar homes and don't have to worry about bills, Oh, Please tell me more 😑)

Just to pull you into every other sick person’s mind-When you finish reading this up,

The Coronavirus is on its way to kill you, coming at an exponential speed-gradually, and then suddenly. In a matter of days, who knows maybe a week or two, your healthcare system will be overwhelmed and your fellow people will be treated in the hallways. Exhausted healthcare operators will break down and some might even die. There might be a situation where there will have to decide which patient gets the oxygen and which one dies. The only way to prevent this is social distancing today. Not tomorrow but today, starting now! I felt that this is probably the one time in the last decade that sharing an article might save lives. Everybody should understand this to avert a catastrophe. The moment to act is now!!
